Ready Express Courier – Product Disclosure Statement (PDS)

1. About Us

Ready Express Courier is a Rockingham-based courier service offering local and regional delivery options across Perth. We specialize in bulky item transport, weekend delivery, dangerous goods handling, and express services. We aim to provide a reliable, flexible, and transparent delivery experience for every customer.

2. Our Services

We offer the following delivery options:

• Per Kilometre Delivery
  $1.60 per km + $0.30/km fuel levy (minimum 25 km)

• Hourly Delivery
  $85/hr + $10/hr fuel levy (minimum 1 hour, billed in 15-minute increments after the first hour)

• Flat Rate Delivery
  $45 for the first 25 km, then charged per km beyond that

• Express / Hotshot Delivery
  $20 flat fee + $2.00/km (minimum 25 km)

• After-Hours or Weekend Service
  $25 surcharge applies to deliveries outside of standard business hours

• Dangerous Goods Handling
  Additional charge between $20–$50, depending on type and quantity

3. Additional Fees (if applicable)

We aim to keep pricing clear, but the following surcharges may apply based on job requirements:

• Carton Fee – All items must be boxed or contained. If cartons are required, we supply them at $5 per carton.
  Loose items will not be transported.

• Manual Handling – For heavy, awkward, or unboxed items requiring lifting or shifting without machinery ($20–$50)

• Waiting Time – Charged after 10 minutes of idle time at $1.50 per minute

• Stairs / No Lift Access – $10–$30 depending on number of flights and item size

• Packaging or Wrapping – $10–$25 for protective wrap, blankets, or boxing

• Redelivery or No-Show – $30 fee if no one is available at pickup or drop-off

• Tip Run / Waste Disposal – Quoted case-by-case

You’ll always be informed of any additional fees before the job begins.

4. Delivery Timeframes

We primarily operate Friday to Sunday but offer limited weekday and after-hours deliveries. Delivery windows will be confirmed when you book.

Express and hotshot deliveries are prioritized and may be completed same-day or within a few hours depending on distance and availability.

5. Items We Transport

We deliver a wide range of goods including:

• Furniture and whitegoods

• Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree purchases

• Commercial goods and retail pickups

• Palletized freight

• Dangerous goods (with proper declaration)

• Tools, building supplies, event gear, and more

Important: All items must be boxed, palletized, or securely wrapped. Loose or unpackaged items will not be transported. If cartons are needed, we can supply them for $5 each.

6. Insurance and Liability

We are fully insured for goods in transit. If an item is lost or damaged due to our handling, we will cover the cost of repair or replacement, up to the value declared prior to transport.

Exclusions:

• Poorly packaged or unboxed items

• Fragile items not declared at time of booking

• Customer-handled damage

• Events beyond our control (weather, road closures, etc.)

We recommend you declare item value and any special handling instructions at the time of booking.

7. Booking Process

To book a delivery, we’ll need the following:

• Pickup and drop-off address

• Description of items (size, weight, condition)

• Preferred date/time

• Any special requirements (stairs, wrapping, etc.)

Once booked, you’ll receive a confirmation with price, ETA, and driver details.

8. Cancellation & Rescheduling

We accept cancellations up to 2 hours before the scheduled pickup time with no charge.

Late cancellations or last-minute rescheduling (within 2 hours) may incur a $30 cancellation fee.
